Ashlyn is a joy in our family. She is very helpful around the house and with her brothers. She loves to go to kindergarten and has lots of friends. She loves to make people feel better by drawing pictures for them. She has accomplished lots of things this year!! We sure love her. For her Birthday we went swimming with some friends. We had Uncle Carson over for dinner and ice cream. The next day she had a party with friends. She picked out a castle cake which was a little difficult to make but it turned out okay!! Happy Birthday Ashlyn!!!!
She was very excited about her gifts!! Uncle Carson with Ashlyn and Kaysen. Eating our cupcakes!! Ashlyn's friends with their crowns they decorated! The castle cake! I think she liked it!! Ashlyn with her cousin Hannah.
It is amazing that a year ago Bryce was just born. He was so little!!! We sure love this little guy. He has been a joy in our family. He is all over the place, getting into my kitchen cupboards and upstairs into the kids toys. It is amazing how much they learn in a years time. Opa and Oma came to visit the week of Bryce's Birthday. So Bryce celebrated his Birthday with Opa Zaugg. Since they now share the same Birthday. We had enjoyable day. The cake was a little work but it was a lot of fun to do. Later that evening Dad had his brother and sisters over for cake and ice cream. Bryce was very excited about his present and the attention he was getting. Ashlyn wrapped a gift up for Opa. She is always making things for people. She is a sweetie!! Bryce was sure excited about his bus! Oma and Bryce! I think Bryce thought the cake was kinda cool. You can see in this picture his little grin. Too bad he couldn't eat a frosted cupcake. We found out he is allergic to milk. So SAD!! But he enjoyed demolishing a plain cupcake!
Steve and I went to a Halloween party. It was a lot of fun!! We dressed up as Woody and Jessie. Thanks to a friend who lent us the costumes. She made them and I thought she did an awesome job. Halloween was a lot of fun this year. Rob, Jami and Olivia came along with Tyson, Adrianne and their 4 kids. We had dinner and then all the kids went out trick or treating. Bryce was not sure about his costume. So it came off quite quickly. Bryce is a duck. Kaysen a shark. The three witches. Ashlyn, Hannah and Sophie All the kids. Sam, Ethan, Hannah, Kaysen, Ashlyn, Olivia, Sophie and Bryce All the candy the got!! Now we just need to hide it!! Glad they didn't get anymore.
The kids were ecstatic to wake up to snow. They went out as soon as they could. I thought I would have been sad to see snow but I think it makes things beautiful. I enjoy winter and the activities. I am excited to take the kids sledding this year. Last year was hard because Bryce was a newborn so I didn't do much with the kids outside. Bryce is just as excited to go outside even if it is cold. So bring on the snow with warm temperatures!!
Gardner Village is always fun to visit during Halloween. They have the cutest witches set up all over. We came here for Kaysen Preschool field trip. They had to go find all the different witches and then they got a cookie from the bakery. The kids had fun posing by the witch!! Kierlyn and Ashlyn holding Bryce. Kaysen, Zack Peterson, Ashlyn and Kierlyn Robertson A group of us went to a pumpkin and apple orchard. They had hay rides and other fun activities for the kids to do. Jolynn and her two girls ( Hayley and Madi), Tiffany and her kids (Blake and Kierlyn) Staci and her kids ( Cloe, Estella, and Eli) Carving pumpkins with our neighbors. We didn't quite finish but they had a blast!! Cloe Chavez and Ashlyn Bryce enjoyed playing with the pumpkin seeds! A trip to the temple. Well, we need to make another one because I just realized we didn't get any pictures with Steve. We wanted to get a family picture but the kids were acting up. We were lucky to get a few pictures with Kaysen smiling!
